About Us

Formed in 1991 Artic Driers International by Allen and Barbara Cockfield, our companies expertise is based on 20 years of air compressor sales experience within the Compair and Bellis and Morcom groups in the UK and South Africa prior to the formation of Artic.

Over the last decade our company has grown slowly & steadily to become South Africa’s # 1 importer of air treatment equipment for Southern Africa. We have powered ahead in sales growth & unit sales due to the support of our principle suppliers such as Jemaco Flair and BEA Technologies, this combined with the efforts of the younger members of the Cockfield family that have joined ‘the biz” in recent years, have made us who we are today.

In 1991, much as now, many air compressor companies were not properly supporting the air dryers already sold into the market. They were, and still are, predominantly interested in selling air compressors. This was the basis of our growth. It was soon realised that the Artic would develop a stronger client base if we maintained all the different brands of air dryers. This we achieved quite quickly, and from this service base we have added a wide range of products to give clients a well rounded air treatment package.

Service and new plant sales are handled by our main office and we also have a chain of resellers that market our products country wide. Service technicians are now firmly established in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town as well as Northern Botswana.

We are the factory representative for Southern Africa for Jemaco Flair of South Korea, we are responsible for all sales and service of any Jemaco Flair Air Drying equipment sold within our territory.

Jemaco, as one of eleven manufacturing plants within the SPX group has produced air treatment products for over a decade & is a global market leader. The SPX group with a turnover $US 4.6 billion p.a. owns the following companies, many of which air dryer manufacturers.
