Point-Of-Use Adsorber

Activated Carbon Adsorber

Function:

The function of the E Series point-of-use activated carbon adsorber is for the removal of oil vapour from compressed air systems. The adsorber utilizes a replaceable cartridge and is capable of removing oil vapour down to 0.003 mg/m3. For best results and performance, it is highly recommended that a H-Grade fine coalescing filter is installed at the inlet side of the adsorber.

Desiccant Adsorber

Function:

The function of the E Series point-of-use desiccant adsorber is for small scale separation of humidity (water vapor) from compressed air systems. The adsorber utilizes a replaceable desiccant cartridge and is capable of achieving low pressure dew point of down to -40°C. For best results and performance, it is highly recommended that a H-Grade fine coalescing filter is installed at the inlet side of the adsorber.

Membrane Dryers


Membrane Dryers

Membrane type dryers offer exceptional operating reliability for the small to medium air user that requires dew point suppression without the need for electrical power.

Membrane air dryers can be selected for decentralized air treatment  & require very little maintenance.  It is highly recommended that filters are fitted with reliable automatic drains to prevent the ingress of oil (from the compressors) into the membrane dryer. The dryer only has no moving parts other than the drains on the pre filter pack. This membrane dryer does not affect the oxygen content of the dried air. 

Purge air may be vented to atmosphere with no treatment  being required. Membrane dryers make use of some of the incoming air flow as purge air.  The quantity of the air required depends on;

•             The desired pressure dew point suppression.

•             The inlet  air temperature.

•             The inlet  air pressure.

The SPX Flow  DMD & DMM** series membrane dryers can be fitted with an optional purge control valve that connects to a compressor’s on/off control system or a pressure switch to stop the purge in a “no flow” condition. This prevents compressed air wastage.

When used in conjunction with a refrigeration dryer very low dew point suppression can be achieved for low dew point applications
