The TX series of dryers has a unique patented heat exchanger design. Containing only two moving parts, this work horse has virtually a zero defect rate in the industry.  Air is dried in a copper spiral heat exchanger. The sequence of the air drying circuit cooling is,  C/air to Freon with water condensate removal by an electric timed auto drain at 3°C, then Air to Freon hot gas re-heat prior to release to the air system.

The gas circuit is simple & almost devoid of moving parts. Gas leaving the Freon compressor is cooled via a static condenser then used to reheat the cold compressed air. The gas is then injected into the main air to the Freon exchanger to chill the air to 3°C, and then returned to the Freon compressor. The use of a static condenser removes the need for a cooling fan and typical condenser pack and thereby eliminating the two major failure areas of any other small capacity dryer.

HXK Series Air Dryers

The HXK series large capacity dryers utilize an advanced stainless steel brazed plate heat exchanger manufactured in house by SPX Jemaco in Busan, South Korea.

The advanced Freon circuit design is both simple and reliable, providing air drying from 24 to 360 m³/min at 7 bar G.

The HXK series is fitted with a 3 in 1 design plate to plate exchanger with an internal condensate separator.  The large surface areas ensure dew point performance under a wide range of operating parameters with minimal pressure losses.  Drainage is via a reliable timed automatic drain, no loss drains are available as an option.

The cabinet construction is tough, the canopy is electro galvanised steel with a two part epoxy coating ensuring long service life.

 R 407, Environmentally friendly refrigerants are used on all HXK dryers

The incessant need to reduce energy consumption is an ever present fact for all plant engineers.  It is estimated that compressed air production & compressed air treatment amount to approximately 30% of an average production plants power consumption. SPX Flow, through Artic Driers International has introduced a radically new approach to compressed air drying.

The PCM air dryer, (Phase Change Material) provides low dew point air via a unique and patented 4 in 1 heat exchanger. 

The PCM material housed within a plate to plate heat exchanger possesses a high latent heat property that enables the material  to melt or freeze at constant temperature.   The phase change material will absorb heat from warm moisture laden compressed air without a significant change in temperature. The PCM material stays colder for longer periods of time.  This system allows the Freon compressor within the dryer to cycle the Freon compressor with long off time periods, resulting in great cost savings.

ENERGY SAVINGS - The PCM dryer lowers the air system power costs and improves productivity by  matching power consumption to  compressed air demand.  C/Air loads fluctuate in any production facility. The PCM dryer cycles the power load to match c/air demand with great effectiveness.

As the load fluctuates the power requirement to dry the air is matched in proportion to the demand.  As a comparison a Non Cycling dryer uses a constant 96% under any operating load.   A PCM dryer when operating at 60% load only consumes 60% of its full load energy.

When compared with current non-cycling, Variable speed drives, and older Thermal Mass type compressed air dryers, the PCM offers superior power savings, without the need to use complex VSD drives, coolant pumps or Glycol tanks.

The HX series of dryers utilizes an advanced stainless steel 3 in 1 brazed plate heat exchanger design with internal condensate separator and timed automatic drain. This air dryer has become an industry standard. 

Its advanced Freon circuit design is simple & reliable providing air drying from 2 to 18 m³/min

The HX series are space efficient require some 40% less floor space with an ultra- low internal pressure drop.  The construction is rugged. The canopy is electro galvanised steel with two part epoxy coatings.  

Environmentally friendly refrigerants are used, namely R 13A and R 407
