SXD Series Drain - Automatic Drain Valve

Compressed air is expensive & with power costs rising, the cost of compressed air will double in the near future.  Reducing power consumption is clearly an industry priority. The use of intelligent level controlled drains to reduce compressed air wastage & leak reduction is an effective way to reduce compressed air wastage & power costs.

Intelligent capacitance level controlled drains eliminate expensive compressed air wastage that is associated with timer controlled drains, by only draining when the bowl is full of waste water condensate. The electronic capacitive level sensor monitors the level of condensate in the bowl and signals the low voltage heavy duty drain valve to open when the upper bowl level is reached.  Water is then ejected.  When the bowl is empty the capacitance sensor closes the valve. The valve automatically adjusts to seasonal humidity variations only opening when required.

The range consists of 5 anodised aluminium body sizes to cater for a variety of system sizes. The purchase price of these cost effective valves is recovered in less than 1 year by the elimination of wasted compressed air due to incorrect timer valve settings.

Nufors Drain


Nufors Drain - Automatic Drain Valve

The NUFORS-CR removes condensate from compressed air systems without using electricity. The discharge process is automatic and is based on a newly developed 3/2 way level controlled valve principle that operates a piston type direct acting valve. The advantage of this valve principle is that the NUFORS-CR’s orifice can be up to 6 mm, offering an increase in reliability factor.

The NUFORS-CR is ideally suited in applications where power is not available, too expensive or not reliable.  In addition, this valve can be applied in applications that demand a higher IP rating (International protection rating or ingress protection). The valve essentially offers an IP 68 / NEMA 6 rating.

EAD 416 Drain

The EAD416 is designed to remove condensate from compressed air systems on demand. The water levels within the housing to operate the drain valve. It is therefore ideally suited to apply on applications where power is not available or desired. The operation is automatic and there is no compressed air lost during the condensate discharge cycle. The EAD416 will save compressed air and electricity costs.   Drain times will vary dependent on condensate load;   A Manuel override for the drain is standard.

Artic 44 - Automatic Drain Valve

The Artic 44 timed automatic condensate drain is a proven solution to heavy condensate loads generated by large compressed air systems. It’s ideal for draining of large air distribution systems, air dryers, coolers and filters.

Almost every compressed air treatment process creates a water /oil condensate, this condensate must be removed from the air stream before the compressed air velocity carries it into your distribution system.  The heavy duty gear driven ball valve of the Artic 44 does not require the fitment of a pre strainer. It rotates a full 180° with each actuation, therefore debris is wiped away with every actuation of the valve.

Drain times are easily set from 4 secs to 24 hrs over ten pre-set time options with the drain interval being adjustable from 4 to 24 hrs.  A function test button, with an LED indicator light makes operator testing easy. This valve may also be computer controlled making it the most versatile drain valve in the industry

Artic 22 SBS - Automatic Drain Valve

The ARTIC 22-SBS is a ½ timed automatic drain valve eliminates the risk of human neglect and the possible costly aftermath of air system contamination  by providing regular controlled condensate draining of your air system , on time, every time,  automatically.

 

The ARTIC 22-SBS unit is a derivative of the famous Artic22-2.  The prime difference is that the Artic 22-SBS has a solid brass body with built in strainer and isolation ball valve. It removes the hassle of a separate strainer valve.

 

The unit is suitable for a wide range of compressed air system components such as aftercoolers, dryers, filters, pressure vessels & piping systems  regardless of their size or capacity – simply adjust the interval and discharge times to suit the particular compressed air system.
